I
work at an emergency vet clinic and Danny and Gavin were both
brought in, seperately, by the police on the same night.
I
took them because they would have been sent to the shelter and
at the shelter here, as in most places, when pits go in, they
don't come out...alive anyway.
Danny
was found tied to a pole somewhere, emaciated and mangy and
pathetic. He only weighed 37 pounds when I got him - he weighs
about 60 now, so that's how terribly undernourished he was.
Literally a walking skeleton.
Gavin
was only about four months old and he had been doused in gasoline;
the cop said the people were trying to force it down his throat
too. Presumably they were going to set him on fire but luckily
he was saved!
I
intended to find them homes because I already have quite a few
dogs, but they are so wonderful that they just sort of stayed
and stayed and stayed...they are the best of friends and are
great, wonderful sweet and loving dogs!"
Thanks
again for being such an enormous asset to pit bulls.
