Martha's new beginning

Martha was found wandering the streets of Bremerton, WA in late fall of 1999. She had a broken leg which had partially healed, and various other maladies
including fleas, ticks, and worms. I adopted her
after seeing her listed on Petshelter.net, and used my tuition money for the quarter to pay for the surgery to fix her leg. The procedure was successful and she is now able to get around normally. Martha is a real snuggle-bunny; she will sacrifice comfort to lay
awkwardly on your lap as long as she gets to be near
you. A special thanks to Tiami at Bremerton Animal Control for deciding this dog was worth saving.

SABLE, a beautiful Pit Bull/Akita mix was discovered through her Petfinder.com listing in South Carolina by Jeanette and Chris of Charlotte. She is living the good life with her Pit Bull mix buddy named Spike.

I combed the greater Boston area shelters for a month looking for "Benji" when I stumbled across China. We made eye contact and I thought instantly, "That's my dog!" She gave me "big eyes" and twisted into a donut so I could scratch her butt through the bars and look at me at the same time. It didn't take much more than that.

China and Lita are very happy girls now that they are out of the shelter and into their new home with Gina.
