Lexie Beans Che, Bella & Clarence
This is Austin and Lexie at a follow up home visit - Lexie was a foster that stole our hearts. Lexie's new family is very good at sharing her with us to this day. Happy ending smiles for everyone! 2/07 After nearly 8 years in shelters and sanctuaries, my humans found my picture on PBRC and fell in love with me. I went to my new home in North Ogden in Sept '04. Life is great! I am now 10 years old and get more hugs and kisses than you can imagine. They love me so much. Every night I get a bowl of cool whip! I eat it right off the spoon. Thank you Best Friends and PBRC. If it wouldn't have been for you, my people wouldn't have me. I don't know what they would have done without me! 2/07 Che, Bella, and Clarence Darrow were all strays taken in from animal control by Metro East Humane Society in Edwardsville and adopted by Cliff and I. They love their kitty brothers and sisters and look quite dashing in their ASPCA scarves! 2/07
Homer Cali Thunder
Homer was rescued in 2003. His foster mom, Lori, fell in love with him and he has a forever home! 2/07 Cali, has been such a blessing in our lives. She brought so much love and happiness to us each and every day. It's sad to know Cali suffered from Cancer. She fought Cancer for 3+ years. Cali lost her battle with Cancer April 17th, 2004. She is forever in our hearts. Tears and Sweet Memories...Mama Janice 2/07 This is Thunder, a Tennessee Yellowjohn. He was found five years ago at two years old, with a heavy boat anchor chain and an extra heavy Master lock around his neck. The investigator who found him had to get a wire saw to cut the chain because it was so tight. Thunder has become a family member far beyond value, and has been to nursing homes and visited with special needs children. He always comes out with compliments-and with that smile, it's no wonder! 2/07
Bull McBee Rosie Pucci

Pit bulls have the most amazing way of placing their permanent stamp on our hearts. 3/07

Rosie came to us after she was hit by a car and our vet put her pelvis back together surgically. She is sweet and gentle, and loves to snuggle with our other dog Lucky and our cat Potter. But most of all, she loves to sleep with her head in her mom’s lap. 3/07 We rescued Pucci from the Gwinnett Country Animal Shelter in Georgia in 1999. She is 80 pounds of pure love. She has lived in 3 states with us, gets home cooked meals, and is our beloved companion. Animals know about unconditional love, and we can learn from them. 3/07
Brok (1991-2007) Buddy Cinnamon
I came across Brok at the Humane Society in 1994 and it was love at first sight. Brok became my best friend and my inspiration for www.brok.ca, fighting Breed Specific Legislation in Canada. His spirit will live on in my perseverance to rescue and protect the future of all dogs. 2/07 Buddy found me seven years ago running down the streets of Baltimore City. He was close to some children on a bus stop seemingly begging for food. He leapt in my car when I called to him after asking the kids if he was their dog. He seemed to be my dog almost instantly. He laid appre-ciatively at my lap in the car and seven years later has become my 70lb lapdog. He has adjusted to many rescues in and out of our home, a number of cats and happily to the birth of my daughter. If I could clone this guy I think I would and then distribute him to all the idiots in the world who are unedu-cated and ignorant about this breed. 2/07 Cinnamon came into our home a month after my husband passed away. My then 7 year old daughter was going through a tough time and so was my 19 year old son who was away at college at the time. I was looking to get a dog but having heard all the horror stories about pits I never thought I would end up with one. Then a friend showed up at my door with Cinnamon. He knew someone who had a litter and she was for sale. Just barely 3 months old she looked so sweet curled up in his arms. I agreed to baby sit her while he ran some errands. I placed her on my lap as I sat at the computer looking up info on the breed. Thanks to Pit Bull Rescue Central I learned a lot about Pits and by the time my friend came back for her I knew she wasn't leaving. She's been with us ever since. This little puppy brightened the mood of our home in ways I could never imagine. As she matured she became both guardian and nanny. My daughter is now 10 and the two of them are inseparable. Our house is always filled with kids and Cinnamon romps and plays along with them. I have never had an incident where she's been threatening or aggressive to anyone. Having been a dog owner all my life and having owned many different breeds, I have to say she is probably the best dog I've ever owned. Tell that to all the people who are trying to push Breed Specific Legislation! GOD BLESS ALL THE LOVING PITBULLS WHO BLESS OUR LIVES!

Callie & Kain Callie

They are inseperable and the best of friends! They are only 5 months apart and would be devestated without each other!
Kain has helped Callie overcome many of her fears and we can't imagine life without either of them.

John & Angie Owen & Family 6/07

We were actually waiting for our AmStaff to be born when I came across the Pitbulls For Life site in Calgary. I saw 5-month old Callie's picture and fell in love! We went to meet her, found out she had been a stray, had been abused, didn't trust men and wasn't willing to meet anyone! I was totally shocked when she walked with us and played with our son! It's been over a year and she adores my husband now. She has overcome so many obstacles and is best of friends with Kain, our AmStaff. We're so happy she chose us and we cherish every day with her!
